By Mini Bus - Ko Lanta to/from Trang In Trang KK Travel, located near the train station, runs the best minibus services in the town. However, most travel agents in Trang can book a public minivan trip to Ko Lanta for tourists for not more than 300 Baht. Services run from mid morning to mid afternoon and take 2-3 hours total. The same can be done in Koh Lanta for trips back to Trang. By Road - Ko Lanta to/from Trang Rental cars are available at the airport for the very pleasant 2-hour drive to Ko Lanta. Roads between the two cities, like most other places in Thailand, are well maintained and safe. Once you get to Trang look for Highway #4 heading south up the Andaman Sea coastline towards Krabi. English language roads signs about turning left to Ko Lanta at Highway 4206 junction are about 70 kilometers from Trang Town. Follow this road for 30 kilometers through small towns towards the coast until you come to the first of two ferries. Once you've crossed the first ferry to Lanta Noi, follow the sign to the second ferry. Cross this ferry and your now in Koh Lanta.
