WHERE TO BUY PROPERTY ON KOH LANTA
Koh Lanta property tends to be concentrated on the west coast where the island’s 7 main beach/tourism areas are located.
The west coast has two main property regions: Northwest (closest to Baan Saladan) and includes Klong Dao, Phra Ae Long and Klong Kong; or Southwest, which includes Klong Tob, Klong Nin, Kan Tiang and the Far South Beaches. There are also some limited real estate options on the east coast and in Lanta Old Town.

ABOUT KOH LANTA PROPERTY
While Koh Lanta continues to struggle with some accessibility, environmental and infrastructure issues, it is a lovely and safe place to retire or to buy a Ko Lanta holiday home. Buyers on Koh Lanta often see these ‘issues’ as a benefit because it keeps the island from the hustle and bustle of other locations Phuket and Koh Samui.
Prices for Koh Lanta land for sale range from about 1 M THB to 15 M THB per Rai (1 Rai = 1,600 sqm or 17,222 sqf) depending on the location. Villas and apartments range in price from 3 M THB to 45 M THB per Rai. These prices are not less expensive compared to prices in Phuket or Koh Samui.
