Klong Nin Beach
A little further south after Long Beach, is Klong Kong Beach, another three-kilometer stretch of sand with palm trees and a collection of small resorts. Bungalow prices here are lower than the northern beaches, with a number of small, family-owned and operated establishments of great charm.
Klong Nin Beach is a wonderful stretch of white sand with many small family-run resorts. The beach keeps getting more popular as European families discover the virtues of one of Lanta's best beaches and return to the same bungalow every year.
Local Services
Klong Nin Beach area has a variety of services along the roadside in to meet your basic needs--like internet cafes, ATMs, pharmacies and a medical clinic. There are also several small markets with fresh fruit and vegetables, and some souvenir and street food vendors.
Restaurants + Hangouts
Most resorts in this area offer great southern Thai food and sunset beach bars.
Don't miss Otto Restaurant and Bar mid beach for great food, nightly seafood BBQ and occasionally live music. Mr. Otto is the island's elder statesman who now has friends all over world. Cool hangouts also include MoFo's Clubhouse and Atcha Hut on the north end of the beach.
Further up the road at the southern end of Klong Nin don't miss culinary treats at Sri Lanta Resort and Spa and the wonderful people and kitchen of The Narima resort.
Klong Hin Beach
A few kilometers further south, at the small but beautiful Klong Hin Beach you'll find great swimming and a few small resorts with a secluded feel.
