Ko Lanta Guide Second Beach Area
Phra Ae Village
Phra Ae Village is the second beach area from Ban Saladan heading south, between Klong Dao Beach and Klong Khong Beach. It's another ideal location if to start from, if you plan to explore the island.
Local Services
Long Beach has a variety of services along the roadside in Phra Ae Village to meet your basic needs--like internet cafes, ATMs, a 24-hour 7-11 store, pharmacies and a medical clinic. There are also several small markets with fresh fruit and vegetables, and some souvenir and street food vendors.
Restaurants + Hangouts
Along the roadside in Phra Ae Village, about mid point on the beach, is home to many of the island's funky eateries and nightspots.
Roadside, at the north end of Phra Ae Village, sample the authentic Isaan flavors of Country Lao and the fine "royal" tastes of Thai Cuisine Restaurant. Across the street are island hipster hangouts Earth Bar and Opium.
Down the street heading south you'll find Red Snapper with its great fusion cuisine, and Fam De Loup Café and Bakery with the island's best baked goods, coffee and food. Retro Café has excellent western food and next-door La Luna is the island's hottest new disco.
Father down the road, 300 meters after the Relax Bay sign on the right side of the road, is the island's best (Thai) chicken soup kitchen called Krua Ya-wee - definitely worth the search.
